The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet Village comes from two vineyards that compensated in terms of fruit after being frosted in 2016. It has an attractive bouquet with scents of orange blossom, nougat and light rose water aromas. The palate is well balanced with a fine thread of acidity, a little tight towards the finish but still nicely focused.

This has very assertive aromas of fresh young peaches and green mangoes and a palate the has gently chalky and fleshy, ripe tropical fruit and really delivers a long, succulent and flavorful finish. Thereâs a strong wire of acidity throughout. Great balance. From two parcels, one below Bâtard and one just further south. Drink in the next five years.
(almost 10% new oak here, but aging entirely in 600-liter casks): Lovely pure aromas of peach and flowers. At once supple and firm, with its citrus and stone fruit flavors framed by nicely integrated acidity. Finishes with lemon and floral notes and good energy. Some of winemaker Jacques Montagnon's alcoholic fermentations did not finish until March.
