The 2022 Barbaresco is a fine entry-level offering from La Ca' Nova. Bright red-toned fruit and floral notes give this mid-weight Barbaresco plenty of up-front appeal. All the elements are very nicely balanced. There is a bit of grippiness on the finish that requires aeration, but that is the style of the year in many wines. The straight Barbaresco is a blend from parcels in Ovello, Cole and Loreto.

The 2022 Barbaresco is superb. Deep and layered, the 2022 offers an explosion of red-toned Nebbiolo fruit intermingled with floral and spice overtones. This succulent, generous Barbaresco will be easy to drink and enjoy on release. Like all the 2022s here, the Barbaresco is open-knit and also impeccably balanced. It's a bit light on the mid-palate.
