Note di degustazione
The 2018 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, which comes from Colin’s 0.19-hectare parcel of 35-year-old vines, has a stunning, beautifully focused bouquet that needs little encouragement to unleash citrus peel, limestone, sherbet lemon and yellow flowers. The palate is extremely well balanced with hints of lemon curd and almond on the entry, which dovetails into a rich but very delineated midpalate of vanilla and even a touch of coconut. This feels long and languorous in the mouth, and the finish lasts for over a minute. Fabulous. Three barrels produced.

The 2018 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru was very put together when I tasted it, opening in the glass with notes of pear, Meyer lemon, white flowers, pastry cream and a deft application of new oak. On the palate, it's full-bodied, muscular and concentrated, with fine balance and a long, saline finish.
