2022 Chassagne Montrachet

The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Village derives from the excellent hillside lieu-dit Pot Bois (readers might think of this terroir as Chassagne-Montrachet's answer to Meursault Chevalières). Unwinding in the glass with aromas of citrus oil and pear mingled with notions of white flowers, hazelnuts and youthful reduction, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with lively acids, superb concentration and impressive reserves of chalky structuring extract.
