Note di degustazione
Intense nose of oak and a little bit of sulphur-derived compounds – which I realise is now relatively rare in white burgundy! A bit tight and tough. With some sweetness. (JR)

Aromas of Anjou pear, pastry cream, lime zest and white flowers introduce the 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant wine that's pure, lively and incisive, with a precise, floral finish. This is another cuvée with the structural tension to reward a few years' bottle age.
Pale, bright yellow. Highly nuanced nose combines mirabelle, citrus fruits, wild herbs and menthol. Quite inviting and nicely balanced, but also conveys an impression of strong dry extract to its sweet fruit and herb flavors. Finishes tactile and long, with a captivating blend of fruits and flowers. An impeccable and sexy Chassagne premier cru in the making. Like Maltroie, Les Vergers seduces when it's young, notes Céline Fontaine.
