The 2006 Barbaresco Maria Adelaide is a huge success for what has turned out to be an irregular vintage in Barbaresco. The Maria Adelaide, a selection of the estate's best fruit, flows with generous dark cherries, menthol, new leather and a host of other balsamic aromas and flavors. This is a full-bodied, richly textured Barbaresco with broad shoulders and more than enough intensity in its fruit to develop in bottle for a number of years.
