Punteggio 89/100 · Da bere 2005, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2005

The 1995 displays notes of flowers and minerals, along with more evolved fruit and leather flavors, with modest depth and complexity, and a short-ish finish that is clipped by fairly hard tannins. The vineyard was hit by hail in 1995, and this wine has always had this harder edge, which I think it always will.

Punteggio 89/100 · Da bere 2004-2015, Robert Parker, Aug 1999

The 1995 Barolo Cannubi Boschis is backward, but may turn out to be very exciting. Although full-bodied, it was extremely closed and difficult to penetrate. It possesses a dark ruby color in addition to plenty of dried herb, balsam wood, and black cherry aromas and flavors. While it is unquestionably excellent, possibly outstanding, it needs 4-5 years of cellaring; it should keep for 15 or more years. Good full fresh red. Sweet aromas of candied dark berries and mint. Very concentrated, but firm rather than fat thanks to lively acids. Flavors are cool and youthful. A distinctive, classy wine that already shows a lot of finesse. The firm tannins build as the wine opens in the glass. This seems more sharply focused than the '93, which I slightly overrated two years ago.
