Note di degustazione
The 2018 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is an attractive village wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Pretty aromatics and silky tannins lend charm. There is just a touch of freshness missing, but that is not necessarily a bad thing for a Barolo meant for near-term drinking. This is the first vintage in which the Comune bottling was done with a shorter fermentation meant to produce an early-drinking Barolo. Hints of sweet dried cherry, tobacco, mint and cedar linger.

Aromas of eucalyptus oil and rose mingle with forest floor and red berry. It\'s linear and polished, showing cherry soaked in spirits, raspberry compote and licorice alongside taut, fine-grained tannins. Drink 2023–2028. Kerin O’Keefe
Ripe wild strawberries and lightly earthy, sous-bois notes follow through to a medium-bodied palate with decent focus, but a lightweight style. Drink or hold.
