Note di degustazione
The 2012 Volnay 1er Cru has a very elegant bouquet with lifted red cherries, raspberry and pomegranate scents mixed with a tang of seaweed. The palate is beautifully balanced, fleshy and silky smooth with plenty of ripe red fruit layered on the finish. This is a refined, elegant Volnay that should age beautifully.

Deep crimson. Mossy and rich. Broad and fine. Lots of crunch and fruit. Explosive stuff. Chewy. Dry finish. But very impressive and full of fire. Massive energy. (JR)
Taillepieds and Clos des Chênes. Bright crimson. A bit more discreet on the nose than the Pommard but then, surprisingly, denser on the palate. Quite solid and rich. Needs time. A very long-term Volnay. (JR)
