Note di degustazione
The 2011 Volnay Clos des Angles is gorgeous. Freshly cut flowers, bright red berries and crushed rocks lift from the glass in a crystalline, pure Volnay endowed with terrific energy and cut. Deceptively medium in body, the 2011 offers lovely depth and more than enough vibrancy to drink well for a number of years. I would give the 2011 a little more time in bottle to fully come together, though.

Next to Frémiets. Bright zesty cherry fruit. Very pure and lively. Marked acidity and less fruit weight in the middle than the 1er Cru. A bit more angular, like its name. Fine grip on the finish. Sutble and long though doesn't have the same fruit zest on the palate as the nose predicted. (JH)
