This village Puligny-Montrachet comes from a plot that is an extension of what was Alvina Pernot and Philippe Abadie’s garden, just east of Enseignières, with quite rich soils. The 2024 – aged in around a fifth new oak – offers a delicate, chalky nose with fine-boned white florals and a zesty citrus character, as well as a touch of something creamy. The palate offers surprising weight and depth – with lovely density to the fruit, a sweet-lemon richness, bright acidity grounded in earthy minerality that drives the long finish. There were only five barrels produced in 2024 – a shame, as this may be their best bottling yet of this wine.

The palate is vibrant on the entry with Granny Smiths, pear and light citric notes, impressive weight on the finish with a little more persistence. This punches above its weight.

4 barrels only. Pale lemon and lime. A ripe fruit with greater density, the orchard in play, nothing yellow. This has its own distinct character, pure white fruit on the palate with a crystalline note to finish.
