Note di degustazione
Lemon and vanillin oak on the nose. Big, sweet, plump and rich, with substantial oakiness today. This was severe from barrel a year ago, but today I find it rather soft. Finishes with substantial spicy, vanillin oak that gives the wine a faint dry edge.

While Roulot typically produces 6 barrels of Meursault Charmes (white), in 2003 only 1.5 barrels were made due to nature’s wrath. Its spicy, buttery aromatics lead to a medium-bodied personality filled with white fruits, creamed almonds, and anise. Expressive, soft, and satin-textured, this lovely wine is a candidate for drinking over the next 5-6 years. Importer: Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA; tel. Aromas of lemon cream, nuts, spices and vanilla. Tightly wound, dry and citric; distinctly severe today. This is tough going at present, but offers good purity and intensity. There are just one and a half barrels of this juice, compared to a normal five.
