2013 Chassagne Montrachet Chaumees Clos de la Truffiere

The 2013 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru les Chaumees Clos de la Truffiere has a complex bouquet that is nicely delineated: hints of lemon curd, apple peelings, jasmine and sous-bois. The palate is crisp and lively on the entry with a keen line of acidity, hints of toffee apple surfacing in the second half with a little more spice than Jouard’s other premier crus toward the persistent finish.
