Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2015-2024, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2015

The 2004 Barolo Giachini is soft, open-knit and silky on the palate, showing all of the charm that is typical of this site and La Morra more broadly. Hints of violet, lavender, plum, cloves and new leather add shades of nuance on the voluptuous, textured finish. Early shades of complexity, especially in the bouquet, suggest the 2004 should be enjoyed over the next handful of years.

Corino's 2004 Barolo Giachini reveals superb clarity and definition in its layered black cherry fruit, showing outstanding persistence on the palate, refined tannins and beautifully well-integrated oak. This vibrant, pure Barolo is a terrific effort from Giuliano Corino.

Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2009-2024, Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate, Dec 2007

Corino’s 2004 Barolo Vigna Giachini reveals superb clarity and definition in its layered black cherry fruit, showing outstanding persistence on the palate, refined tannins and beautifully well-integrated oak. This vibrant, pure Barolo is a terrific effort from Giuliano Corino. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2024. This is the first vintage Giuliano Corino has made on his own, and a distinct style is beginning to emerge. He appears to favor a more elegant, restrained approach while his brother Renato’s wines are decidedly riper and more exuberant, very much like their personalities. Good full red. Sexy aromas of plum, raspberry, spices, dried flowers and minerals; this bottling always strikes me as Burgundian. Suave, broad and classically dry, with a fine-grained texture and lovely aromatic lift to the red berry, spice and floral flavors. This very juicy wine finishes with substantial dusty tannins and captivating mineral firmness. All of these wines are done in barriques
