The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets is showing nicely, offering up a floral bouquet that mingles notes of spring blossom, crisp white peach and orange oil with notions of citrus zest and fresh pastry. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's textural and enveloping but racy and beautifully defined, too, concluding with a chalky finish.
The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru certainly has one of the most complex and captivating bouquets with oyster shell, yellow flowers and light grilled walnut aromas. The palate is well balanced with a tang of marmalade on the entry. The acidity is well judged here and there is a vivacious spicy, ginger and lemongrass finish that makes you looking forward to the next sip. This has great potential. (DIAM closure)
