Note di degustazione
Real substance for a village wine. Bravo! Beautiful balance. Almost irresistible already though it has the balance and substance for many a year. Silky texture. Importer Robert Rolls notes, ‘Do we drink our whites burgundies too soon? I recently had a bottle of Pernot’s village 2002 and 2005 Puligny, both still fresh and quite magical.’ (JR)

The 2014 Puligny-Montrachet Village has a crisp, stony, Granny Smith apple-scented bouquet that is tightly wound, but you have to admire the mineralité conveyed here considering that this is a village cru. The palate is well balanced with pear, peach skin and ginger notes, maybe just a little too phenolic on the finish for my liking, but a white Burgundy that is full of character. Enjoy over 3-5 years, possibly more.
Pale green-tinged yellow. Pure, fresh aromas of white peach, white flowers, lemon and noble herbs. Supple and juicy, showing surprisingly soft acidity to the flavors of lime, white peach and mint. A touch warm in the early going.
