Twenty-four parcels and some bought-in fruit. Cask/tank sample. Smells deep and creamy with plenty of pristine citrus. Intense citrus on the palate, too, the high acidity just balanced by the creamy oak/lees. Terrific balance between pure citrus and the rounded texture. Extremely subtle oak, tight and mouth-watering. Needs time to meld. (JH)

The village Puligny comprises all the vineyards but Trézin and Charmes. The nose is less evident at the moment. More in fruit weight and less in flowers but not quite together. It will get there. More impressive on the palate where the refined backbone of Puligny is covered in white fruit with a tingling finish.
