Note di degustazione
The 2023 Soffocone di Vincigliata is remarkably fresh, blending crushed rocks with cedary spices, sage and dried black cherries. This is soothingly round and cool-toned in feel, with steely minerality and depths of tart red berry fruits energized by zesty acidity. It finishes long and perfumed, leaving inner rose and violet tones over a gentle tinge of fine tannins.

The Bibi Graetz 2023 Soffocone di Vincigliata is less exuberant and definitely more delicate compared to many of the other wines in this portfolio. Showing blue flowers and a subtle note of balsamic herb, it ends with powdery tannins and fine texture. This vineyard site was planted in 2012, but it has some plants from the 1960s.
Graphite, fine tannins, soaring floral aromatics, this is a delicious wine that I am tasting for the first time from the Bibi Graetz stable. Packed with red cherry, blueberry and graphite, with gentle underbrush and tobacco leaf. Single-vineyard Sangiovese from 70 year old vines, with an artwork on the label that Bibi made as a young art student in Florence. Almost zero new oak, but all aged in barrel.
