We are treated to lingering perfumes of roses and pressed flowers in this medium-weight offering from Fontanafredda. The name Vigna la Rosa is indeed very appropriate. The 2014 Barolo Fontanafredda Vigna la Rosa is tight and elegant but medium to long in terms of persistence. Some 15,000 were bottles were made.

The 2014 Barolo La Rosa is forward and fruity, both of which suggest it is best enjoyed sooner rather than later. Sweet red cherry and raspberry fruit are nicely pushed forward in this silky, mid-weight Barolo from Fontanafredda's La Rosa parcel in Serralunga.
