2016 Cascina Chicco Barolo Rocche di Castelletto

Very few Baroli exist at this low price point. The Cascina Chicco 2016 Barolo Rocche di Castelletto draws upon fruit from Monforte d'Alba to present linear, tight and bold aromas. This Barolo opens to dark color saturation and a far-reaching bouquet. The aromas are divided into two categories, with dark fruit on one side and spicy oak on the other. With two years of barrel aging, the oak is a strong force in this wine, adding smoke, clove and tarry spice. Some 20,000 bottles were produced.
