Note di degustazione
Candied lemon and a whiff of charred oak on the nose. Sweeter on entry than the Remilly from Bruno Colin, then less pristine in the middle, showing less harmonious acidity today. There's good ripeness and cut here but the finish shows a slightly bitter peppery edge. A puzzling showing for this wine, which I note I did not taste last spring due to a very late malolactic fermentation.

The 2011 Chassagne-Montrachet En Remilly fleshes out nicely in the glass. Peach, nectarine, white flowers and spices all take shape as the wine opens up. The 2011 is beautiful, open and expressive, all qualities that make it hugely delicious right now. The textured, creamy finish is particularly of note.
Nutty introvert nose. Very rich on the palate and satisfying. Lower acid than most – later picked? Easy to like… (JR)
