Poderi Colla's 2015 Barbaresco Roncaglie is laced with the essence of crushed red berries, hard candy, cinnamon, flowers and mint. Gracious, beautifully perfumed and medium in body, the 2015 will drink well right out of the gate. Although the 2015 is unquestionably attractive, I would have liked to see a bit more mid-palate resonance and overall body.

Barbaresco. Tasted blind. A little brooding with minerally spicy notes and the ripe fruit just beginning to creep out of its shell. Firm but gorgeous chewy tannins. Fine red-fruit finish, but this needs much more time to open up. Elegant and poised yet with some tannic power (WS)
