Here is a new submission from Damilano that speaks to an exciting and growing tendency to make village-specific blends of Nebbiolo. The 2019 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba shows a dark and robust character with a medium light appearance and concentration that is impactful but not heavy. Aromas include dark fruit, iron ore and black rose. This is a very interesting new addition to the Damilano portfolio, with only 3,500 bottles released for now. I could see that number growing in the future.

A very solid young Barolo with medium body and firm tannins with blue fruits, minerals and stones. Lemon peel as well. Medium to full body, with a linear line of fruit, tannins and acidity. Better in two or three years. New wine for Damilano. Try after 2026.
