The 2012 Barolo Cannubi is wine of enduring harmony and integration. It offers an authentic sense of place, as you can taste that silky elegance and those finely polished tannins that are so often associated with the celebrated Cannubi cru. The wine washes clean over the palate with grace and finesse.

The 2012 Barolo Cannubi is the most polished and sensual of Paola Rinaldi's 2012s. Sweet, yet firm tannins wrap around a core of ripe red cherry, mint, pine, cedar, tobacco and white pepper. Aromatically lifted, but with plenty of underlying structure, the 2012 Cannubi exudes classicism and tension from the very first taste. I would prefer to cellar it for at least a few years.
Barolo. Mid ruby with orange tinges. Nose of apple peel and strawberry. Premox danger. Beginning to show some signs of apple peel on the palate too. Short life span. Cask sample? (WS)
