A classic, old-school Barolo, the 2004 La Serra pulses with the energy and tension that are typical of this high altitude site. Pine, menthol, dark cherry and spice are all expressive in the glass. This mid-weight Barolo is starting to show the first signs of tertiary nuance, but it has enough energy to drink well for another decade or so.
