The 2021 Barolo Bussia Dardi Le Rose offers more pigment, with a deeper red hue, and is much more complete, with notes of cherry candies, bright spice, anise, rosemary, and crushed flowers. The palate has wonderful energy, with a saturating and expansive feel, well-defined tannins, ripe acidity, and a long, balanced finish. It should improve as its more tertiary qualities start to shine, and it has a lot of purity and savory complexity to age over the coming 15 or more years.

Colla's 2021 Barolo Bussia Dardi Le Rose is elegant and sophisticated. Wild cherry, incense, blood orange, tobacco and rose petal lift effortlessly from the glass, supported by beams of tannin that lend shape as well as energy. Still tightly wound, the 2021 is going to need a few years to come into its own. There's a certainly a lot to look forward to.
