Note di degustazione
An airier and mildly cooler nose reflects notes of mineral reduction, white flowers and the hallmark citrus influences. The sleeker though not denser middleweight flavors possess a more refined mouthfeel as well as more evident minerality that seems to build on the bitter lemon-tinged, dry and sneaky long finale. Lovely stuff and this generously proportioned effort should also reward up to a decade of keeping. Drink: 2030+

The 2022 Chablis Les Séchets 1er Cru tends towards more reduction on the nose, but there is intensity here, beeswax and light adhesive scents complementing the yellow fruit. The palate is very refined with a keen thread of acidity. A dab of sour lemon keeps this on its toes. A touch of crème brûlée lends some intrigue on the finish with a peppery aftertaste. Lovely.
A cool site with meager topsoil, Sechet is a cru that serves warmer years well, delivering tension and refinement. Very linear, showing typical Chablis character along with its vibrant acidity. Aniseed and mint with hints of toast and chestnuts. More delineated and voluminous than so-called classic vintages, but still pulls the saliva and tingles the tongue in readiness for the next glass. Excellent showing of this wine. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.
