Raspberry and redcurrant. Cranberry, clove, light and lithe but there is a floaty elegance to the palate. Drinking nicely now, and has the lift of an elegant Côte de Beaune. (RH)

The 2022 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru La Dominode was also still quite primary and unevolved when I tasted it from barrel, unwinding in the glass with notes of cherries, berries, licorice and sweet spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with a chassis of sweet, powdery tannin, it's built for the cellar.
