The 2018 Barolo Cannubi offers up dark fruit, leather, brown spice and dried flowers. Medium in body, the 2018 is persistent, but it also comes across as slightly oxidized and lacking in freshness. It would be great to see more site character and finish here.

The Réva 2018 Barolo Cannubi is a powerful wine from a site known for its delicate fruit aromas. This warm vintage brings out the muscle and the brawn in the sandy-soiled Cannubi cru. Dark fruit and blackberry are supplemented with oak spice and tobacco. The finish is dry with dusty tannins.
