Note di degustazione
Opening to an inky dark appearance, you feel the heat and concentration of a hot vintage. The Luciano Sandrone 2022 Barbera d'Alba opens to heavy and ripe aromas of breakfast prune, baked plum and raisin. This tonneaux-aged wine leans toward overripe aromas, leaving primary freshness in the rearview mirror. Production is 25,000 bottles.

Almost-impenetrable deep crimson. Hugely attractive oak, blackberry and cherry nose. Suave cherry and blackberry fruit with a dash of oak and succulent acidity. Very long and perfectly balanced paired with modest alcohol. (WS)
The 2022 Barbera D'Alba offers a more luxurious, oak-spiced profile in its notes of toasted cedar, baked plum, vanilla beans, and violets. Full-bodied, plush, ripe, and long, it’s going to take time to integrate. Give it at least another year or two and drink over the following 6-8 years. A robust and warming wine, this is a solid entry for Cab drinkers.
The 2022 Barbera d'Alba is packed with ripe red cherry/plum fruit. Mocha, spice, cedar and leather add layers of nuance. This succulent, forward Barbera is an absolute delight.
