Note di degustazione
The 2017 Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru comes from Les Grands Champs and Les Duresses, about half from each. It offers attractive red plum, mulberry and incense aromas on the nose, which is quite voluminous compared to the Village Cru. The palate is laden with sappy red fruit and delivers good grip, leading to a lightly spiced, quite structured finish. Very fine.

In tank and will be bottled in February. Les Grands Champs and Les Duresses. Tried the blend in 2007 and found the latter was very structured whereas the former was more fruity. Good partnership. Dark cherry red. Aromatic with lively dark-cherry fruit. And a light note of peony. The tannins are firm and structured and you can see why they need each other. Chewy but fine-grained and a long harmonious whole with extremely fresh finish. (JH)
