2023 Chassagne Montrachet Blanchots

The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Blanchot-Dessus 1er Cru comes from purchased must. It again offers yellow fruit, hints of marzipan and popcorn scents on the nose that perhaps betray the warmth of the growing season more than the other Chassagnes. The palate is taut and fresh on the entry, though it does not quite deliver the complexity and depth that I was hoping for. It's a step behind its peers at present.
