The Dujac harvest began with the 2023 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières on September 1. Offering up aromas of white peach, hazelnuts, freshly baked bread and white flowers, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and satiny, with an elegantly layered core and a fine-boned, giving profile.
The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru comes from younger vines between five and ten years old, picked a few days before Les Combettes. The nose offers hints of yellow plum, egg white and almond that unfurl with aeration. The palate is well balanced and quite forward, with a slightly tangy opening. However, it misses some mineralité and nerve toward the finish. This is an early-drinking Puligny.
