Orange peel, mint, sweet red cherry and cranberry give the 2012 much of its lifted, aromatically expressive personality, but the 2012 is far from an easygoing Barbaresco. It packs a serious punch. This is a serious, structured Barbaresco that will improve over the next decade or more, as well as a terrific effort for the year. The 2012 spent 30 months in oak, 70% cask and 30% neutral oak.

This is an approachable expression of Nebbiolo with a simple delivery and a pretty bouquet that is composed of dark fruit, spice and herbal-balsam elements.
