Another breathtaking wine, the 2012 Chablis Vaillons blasts across the palate with stunning depth, resonance and pure voluptuousness. Honey, apricot pit, peach and sweet floral notes meld together in a wine of pure grace. Today, the Vaillons is nearly impossible to miss for its raciness, but should also age very, very well.

Hints of bone meal and menthol on the nose, with solid underlying rocky minerality. Juicy but quite tight, showing less personality today than the Sechet. This boasts the saline minerality of the 2013 version. Finishes dry, tactile, rocky and backward, with strong lemony acidity drawing out the back end.
One of the richer, more overt wines in the range, the 2012 Chablis Vaillons flows across the palate with considerable depth. Tropical overtones add complexity to a core of yellow-fleshed fruit in an exotic, racy Chablis. Today, the Vaillons is all about texture. Bracing, saline notes become more prominent as the wine sits in the glass. The balance here is simply remarkable.
Bright yellow. Musky pineapple, quinine, ginger and crushed stone on the nose. At once tactile and penetrating, offering superb density to its lemon, grapefruit and powdered stone flavors. Terrific citric energy gives the finish a positive youthful bitterness. Outstanding potential here.
