Note di degustazione
Dark soil and earth tones come together with dusty rose, crushed pomegranates and plums as the 2019 Rosso di Montalcino comes to life in the glass. While expressive with coaxing, this is quite inward today. It’s silky in texture, yet salty and savory to the core with depths of tart red berry and mineral tones. Grippy tannins are left to linger, along with a coating of primary fruit. The 2019 is a powerful and structured Rosso from Il Poggione that will require cellaring to show its best. That said, it will be worth the wait.

Sour cherries, dried leaves and lemon zest on the nose. Itâs medium-bodied with firm, chewy tannins and bright acidity. Structured and savory with a firm finish. Drink in 2023.
