2017 Chassagne Montrachet Les Caillerets

The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet En Cailleret 1er Cru has a delineated, quite complex bouquet of yellow plum, crushed stone and a hint of vervain in the background. There is a slight reduction that works to its advantage. The palate is well-balanced with a spicy entry - just a touch of curry leaf mixed with grilled walnut and hazelnut. Almost Meursault-like towards the finish with impressive persistence. Excellent.
