Note di degustazione
The 2019 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru has a vivacious nose with blood orange, quince and crushed pebble aromas. There is good complexity here. The palate is medium-bodied with a smooth texture and touches of orange cordial, lime, stem ginger and white peach. With good weight and persistence, its harmony and depth compensate for what it lacks in a bit of tension. I can see this rewarding those that age this in bottle. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

The 2019 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly has also turned out nicely, displaying aromas of pear, fresh bread, confit lemon and nutmeg, framed by a promising—at this stage in its élevage—touch of reduction. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, it's ample and elegantly textural, but built around a lovely spine of acidity, concluding with a lively finish.
The 2019 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru is more exhibitionist on the nose compared to other cuvées with overt tropical notes of passion fruit, guava and citrus peel. The bouquet is well balanced with tempting orange pith and yellow plum notes. In this vintage I am more taken with the La Chatenière or Sous Rouche Dumay that are both more classic in style.
