Note di degustazione
Sweet spot Outstanding - This is aromatically similar to the straight Puligny villages but with more spice elements. The wonderfully refined, indeed almost delicate, flavors aren't particularly dense but the finesse is striking plus it carries over to the transparent, even crystalline, finish. This restrained effort isn't going to wow anyone with its power or punch but if your taste runs to highly refined whites, this is worth the price of admission. Drink 2033+

First picked, as you have to these days. Mid lemon yellow. The bouquet shows softer fruit up front, something of a cashmere texture on the palate, with some ripe citrus, fair acidity but the balance of the wine is more fragile.
The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru is soft and caressing on the palate. It’s not the richest or most intense of the Pulignys in the range, and yet its balance is sublime. White flowers, chamomile, apricot and white pepper offer an intriguing mix of richer flavors offset by bright overtones.
