2017 Volnay Carelle Sous la Chapelle

The 2017 Volnay Carelle Sous la Chapelle 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet of red currant, strawberry and sous-bois , opening nicely with aeration though still one of the more bashful in this lineup. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, lithe and harmonious, delivering disarming purity toward the persistent finish.
