Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2020-2035, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2021

The 2018 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has turned out well, mingling aromas of pear and white flowers with hints of almond and beeswax. Full-bodied, layered and textural, it's rich and fleshy, with lively balancing acids.

Cask sample. Both spicy and mealy/savoury on the nose but no lack of pear fruit behind that. Rich and creamy in the mouth, fat and spicy. It does have just enough freshness but not the length and precision you would expect from a grand cru and at this price. (JH)
