Note di degustazione
Véronique Drouhin noted how consistent this wine is year after year, something which she feels you can’t create but comes from the vineyard. The nose combines creamy richness with bright fruit and lemon peel, a pleasing complement to the weight of fruit delivered by the palate. The wood emerges a little on the finish at this youthful stage, but it’s in balance and just needs a bit of time to mesh with the fruit. Full, intense and long, this is a bright, creamy, impressive wine.

Cask sample. Acidity much more edgy than on the Clos des Mouches. Touch of spice on the nose. Vibrant and with a chalky undertow. Plenty of freshness but lacks a bit of harmony at the moment. But that will come. Lots of potential here. (AWH)
Aromas of honeyed orchard fruits, buttery pastry, peaches, toasted nuts and spices introduce the 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Marquis de Laguiche, a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny wine that's rich, glossy and unctuous, with all the fat and texture typical of this bottling.
