The 2022 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (Maison Louis Jadot) exhibits aromas of pear and minty orchard fruit mingled with honey, white flowers and almonds. Medium to full-bodied, deep and satiny, with a sweet core of fruit that's underpinned by racy acids, it concludes with a chalky finish.

The 2022 Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is quite backward on the nose and demands a bit of coaxing. Eventually, it reveals red apple, lemon verbena and light petrichor scents, though I would not describe it as "intense." The palate is well-balanced and elegant in style. It is not a powerful Grand Cru, but crisp, precise and almost delicate towards the finish. I suspect it will gain more weight by the time of bottling.
Informazioni sul produttore

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
