La Morra. 100% Michet. Total skin maceration time of five weeks. Lustrous mid to deep ruby. rich raspberry peppered with minerally saline notes and a suggestion of tobacco leaf and morocco leather. Lush and elegant and youthful and with long grainy tannins. Enormously long and focused finish. (WS)

La Morra. Lustrous ruby with orange tinges. Firm cherry-fruit nose that becomes more complex and layered with aeration. Suave and concentrated cherry on the palate with firm tannins but just the right amount to strike a great balance. Very long and focused but still in its infancy. (WS)
The 2019 Barolo Rocche Dell'Annunziata Riserva Bricco Francesco takes on more sapidity and depth on the nose, with ripe notes of licorice, balsamic herbs, tobacco, and baked cherries. The palate offers a good deal more clarity and intensity as well, with a liqueur-like core of sweet fruit, saltiness, and tannins that build with broader shoulders on the finish. This has the ability to age over the coming 10-15 years.
La Morra. Just mid ruby. Great purity and complexity on the nose. Raspberry with a hint of cooked rhubarb, garden herbs and subtle, spice notes. Fluid, with fine gravelly tannins. Poised and long. Real pedigree and already irresistible. (WS)
