Pale brick-garnet. Dried-herb tones, dusty earth, white pepper and stones. More white pepper on the palate with dusty earth and old leather. Firm to high, grainy tannins, but I'm not sure there's the fruit and flavour density here to hold them. I fear this will dry out before it comes around. (TJ)

La Morra. Tasted blind. Bottled in February 2018 . Maturing ruby with bricky tinges. Concentrated sour-cherry nose and succulent sour-cherry fruit on the palate, with finely chiselled tannins. Truly lithe and with a long aromatic finish. (WS)
Aromas of dried orange peel and cedar, as well as some chocolate and cedar undertones. Medium body, firm and silky tannins and good fruit. But the finish is a little fluid. Drink now.
A shade deeper than the La Serra of the same vintage. Pronounced and almost rich cherry fruit with balsamic hints on the nose. Cool raspberry fruit palate with persistent, crunchy tannins and energetic acidity. Firmer tannins on the finish and focused, cool red fruit. Closes up, but shows real breed and gorgeous elegance. This wine has class – proven by the tannins. (WS)
