Note di degustazione
Compared with the 2023, the key here is greater power and less openness. Less aromatic. A touch of spice and a depth that is more savoury than the 2023. Both deep and stony. Tightly wound on the finish. Long, salty finish. (JH)

Fresh mid lemon. Very classy on the nose, with the extra fruit-driven intensity. A brilliant core with the extra fruit from this sunny site making it more accessible. A tropical take on grapefruit promotes a lovely aftertaste Drink from 2027-2036. Tasted Jun 2024.
The 2022 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru has a very impressive bouquet with wonderful marine-inflected malic scents, quite strict and focused, leaning more to traditional old school Chablis. The palate is very well balanced with a sapid entry, linear and strict with a twist of sour lemon on the finish. Excellent.
Tank sample. 20% of the finished wine is fermented and aged in oak, then blended after one year and kept in tank on fine lees for another six months but because the barrels were still going through malo at the time of this tasting, this is just the tank part. A little less stony on first impression compared with the Mont de Milieu, the cedary citrus fruit more intense. So creamy it seems almost gentle even though the freshness is there at the core. Salty finish. (JH)
