The 2003 Barolo Cannubi is another delicate, soft-textured effort. It is ample on the palate, yet appears to be built for near-term drinking. As it sits in the glass balsamic notes that aren't especially character istic of this vineyard emerge to give this wine added layers of expression.

As it sits in the glass balsamic notes that aren’t especially characteristic of this vineyard emerge to give this wine added layers of expression. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2013. Michele Chiarlo owns plots in some of the area’s best vineyards.
