Note di degustazione
The 2006 Barolo Enrico VI presents a more typical profile of the Villero vineyard in its wild cherries, mint, menthol, resin and sweet spices. Here the fruit is beautifully layered all the way through to the textured, precise finish. The 2006 is far less rewarding today than the 2007, but much more in line with the level great wines from this site can reach.

Cordero di Montezemolo is one of the few estates where the 2006s are more interesting than the 2007s, with the exception of the entry-level Barolo Monfalleto. Castiglione Falletto. Pale-ish, brilliant ruby with broad orange rim. Spicy, sweet and very appealing. Slightly stewed on the palate which will affect its life span, but acidity keeps the tension on the palate. (WS)
Medium red with an amber edge. Very ripe, complex nose melds strawberry, cherry, earth and underbrush; one senses the soil here. Penetrating but harmonious acidity gives this perfumed, ripe wine an enticing light touch. The most tannic of these three 2006s but the tannins are sweet and horizontal. Complex and suave Barolo.
