Note di degustazione
The 2001 Barolo Brunate opens with a perfumed, balsamic nose typical of Brunate, showing menthol, eucalyptus, spices and new oak. It is dense on the palate with layers of dark ripe fruit supported by much new oak which will need a few years to integrate. If those elements come together it may ultimately deserve a higher score.

Vineyard south of La Morra. Medium garnet with pale bricky rim. Very perfumed and a little flora, with strawberries. Slightly minty with an edge of sage. Aromas still quite youthful. Firm, aromatic mid palate. Dry and delicate on the finish with fresh, fine-grained tannins. (JH)
