Note di degustazione
Lower-toned aromas of orange oil, clove and spicy oak. Sweet and fruity, if a bit less obviously ripe than the village wine. Ultimately a bit lean, with some acidity showing. Can't match the young 2006 for personality.

(from vines in excess of 40 years of age, which Boillot told me suffered in the heat of 2003 and produced lower-than-normal crop loads in both 2004 and 2005) Higher-toned aromas of ripe peach and flowers. Reasonably dense but in a drier style. I don't find a lot of personality or flavor interest here. Seems a bit flat. Today I find the village sample longer. Boillot told me he may yet declassify this juice.
Lemony definition and good focus. Jewel-cut but the alcohol makes its presence felt! Slightly big for its boots. (JR)
